You PEEPed

Our town's Center for the Arts hosted a Peep Show. Not that kind of peep... the marshmallow candy kind of peep. Our county arts council has had one every year for the last 4 years. I must confess we only went for two reasons: 1. Becca's Stars group had an entry and 2. it was free. But I am so glad we went. In hindsight, I would have paid. We did have to "buy" votes for our favorite peep entry but for $5 you received 10 votes and a button. The Arts Center was selling Peep Kabobs and other Peep goodies. I can only describe the show and Peep creations as whimsical. Room after room of peep made creations, just made us smile. It was a great Friday night with dinner at the local pizzeria after the peep show.

Becca's group entry (Lady Gaga and the Peeparazzi) and Peep Barbie

Todd Peep (a Raven's player whose name is Heap) and Spongebob PeepPants

Stink Peeps and my personal favorite: Mac and Peeps

The voting process (you put in 3 votes for your favorite: Cookie Monster) and the whimsy that followed.

Oh and the button said: I PEEPed to let everyone know you voted for your favorite peep entries! I can't make this stuff up if I tried.

Sometimes, I am glad we live in our small town. Our night was intimate and filled with fun. It's good to remember the perks, when I'm at my wits end dealing with other aspects of living in a small town :)

I'm actually behind on chronicling your life. Today was the BIG birthday party with Ashley. You have been 2 for three weeks and she turns 2 in three weeks. It was quite a day and a story for another post. However, you and I leave for Williamsburg, VA tomorrow, leaving Daddy with the pets at home. We are going to Busch Gardens where they opened a Sesame Street themed kids part of the park. We are going with Jessica and Ashley and her two foster brothers (ages 1 and 4).

I am insane. When planning and discussing this trip I didn't fully think through all the traveling we have been doing. But Jessica's cousin is coming to help us with all of you kiddos. Deep breaths.

I do know one thing, once we get back on Wednesday night, we are not going anywhere for a very long time. BUT... we do have a doctor's appointment on Thursday and Easter is next Sunday and Mr. Nick's (our neighbor) bull roast is the Saturday after Easter... but once May hits, we are not leaving this house. I promise.
